Gymnocalycium is a genus of South American cacti, commonly called "chin cactus," known for its smooth, hairless flower buds and easy care. While many species are small, they are prized by enthusiasts for their striking globular form and beautiful flowers. The genus is also famously the source of the brightly colored "Moon Cactus".
